I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), a Certified Alcohol and Other Drugs of Addiction Counselor (CADC), and a Registered Art Therapist (ATR) with a solid background in cognitive behavioral modalities and expressive arts therapies.
I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents and adults with adjustment disorders, post traumatic stress disorder, general anxiety, depression and bipolar disorders; as well as schizophrenia and substance use and abuse. As a substance abuse counselor, having a thorough understanding of the complexities of addictive behaviors, including dual diagnoses and psychosocial challenges hindering progress, I use dynamic psychotherapeutic approaches to aid in finding an authentic catalyst for change.
I also use art media to assist clients in using metaphor, and meta-verbal means of self-expression, in order to explore existential issues, interpersonal relationships and promote personal growth.
